Iconic New Jersey Spot Lands On The ‘Greatest Hotels Ever’ List
When you are giving accommodation recommendations to friends, how often do you describe a place as “the best hotel ever?” Regardless of your reason, something about staying there makes it special. Furthermore, you associate your stay with being a major contributor to the great time you experienced during your trip. Fifty Grande recently named its 2024 “Greatest Hotels Ever,” and a New Jersey establishment made the list.
Fifty Grande explained, their definition of “Greatest Hotels Ever” to mean, “What are the most notable hotel experiences in the U.S., ones with a bit of attitude, for under $350 a night?”
As a result, a distinguished list of places across the country that offer guests a memorable experience for a reasonable cost was compiled. Then it was arranged by market so you can truly find the greatest, coolest, or even best hotel ever.
In New Jersey, this Asbury Park landmark is in the heart of the music and art scene. In fact, acclaimed music photographer, Danny Clinch (Tom’s River native) has his Transparent Clinch Gallery attached to the hotel.
The Asbury Deserves Its Place Among The Greatest Hotels Ever
The Asbury was the only New Jersey spot to be named in the “Greatest Hotels Ever” list. Fifty Grande credits the hotel’s ability to be such a prominent part of the local culture. “Some of the hotel’s success is due to its two rooftop lounges, which have killer ocean views, and to the affordable rooms that, though spare, emulate beach chic with light woods and checkerboard floors,” they said.
The Asbury calls itself an “Out-of-the-Box” hotel on the Jersey Shore. From pool parties to live music, there is always something going on at this iconic spot, just steps from the boardwalk.
The Asbury is located at 210 5th Ave, Asbury Park. The hotel contains ten different room types. They range from a standard queen to the “octo,” which has bunkbeds, to an ocean-view king.
