Should they try and turn this early success into something real, or should they sell of their pieces and continue to turn towards a rebuild?
Whatever the team decides to do they need to do it fast, waiting is the worst thing they could do.
The Nets have three main pieces that are already gauging interest in the trade market. Dennis Schroeder, Cam Johnson, and Dorian Finney Smith will all be players that are going to be on the move when the Nets eventually decide to sell off their main pieces. All three could play major roles for championship contending teams so the Nets should get some nice compensation back for their veterans if they decide to move on.
The Nets have the draft capital to make a run at a potential disgruntled superstar should one become available, (Giannis) this is the one and only reason the Nets should maybe wait to hold onto their players. Sean Marks should be calling Milwaukee every day asking about Giannis, and even making offers.
The Nets can offer the Bucks expiring contracts and a ton of draft picks, should Milwaukee be ready to move on from Giannis. The Nets could be a match since they do own Milwaukee's first round pick this year, but in a world that changes so fast anything can happen at any moment.
The Nets were smart to move on from Bridges this past off season, getting a king's ransom for him, 5 first round picks, a first-round pick swap, plus three players, including one who the Nets turned into Ziare Williams who is playing an important role with the team so far this season.
The Nets are no pushover and control their future. The direction the team goes is ultimately up to them as they are in a great position to go either route.
Top NFL Teams Heading into Week 11
As we approach week 11 in the NFL, there are 5 teams that stand above the rest. Has anything changed in two weeks since the NFLs midway point? Find out below.
Kansas City Chiefs

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI - NOVEMBER 10: Kansas City Chiefs fans cheer in the fourth quarter of a game against the Denver Broncos at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on November 10, 2024 in Kansas City, Missouri.
The Kansas City Chiefs are the only remaining unbeaten team and have been for a while. Their record doesn't reflect how close each game has been for the Chiefs each week, as there point differential of 56, is the second lowest ever of teams that have started 11-0. Just this past week the Chiefs had to block a kick against an average Denver Broncos team as time expired to remain unbeaten. If they didn't have Patrick Mahomes, and weren't the 2-time defending champions, they wouldn't be number one on everybody's list, but since they do, they rank atop of this list in this ranking.
Detroit Lions

HOUSTON, TEXAS - NOVEMBER 10: Jake Bates #39 of the Detroit Lions celebrates with teammates after kicking the winning field goal during the fourth quarter against the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium on November 10, 2024 in Houston, Texas.
The Lions for the most part have showed complete and utter dominance through the first 11 weeks, only having one loss up until this point. The Lions for the most part dominate every game they play, but even in the games where their QB happens to throw FIVE interceptions, they are still good enough to be able to find a way to win the game. If you asked who would win if the Chiefs played the Lions the only reason a majority of people would say the Chiefs is because of Patrick Mahomes, we should get a chance to see for ourselves in February as the two teams look to be on a collision course to meet in the Super Bowl. Once Kansas City finally loses a game expect the Lions to sit at number one in the power rankings.
Buffalo Bills

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA - NOVEMBER 10: Josh Allen #17 of the Buffalo Bills scores a rushing touchdown past Nick Cross #20 of the Indianapolis Colts during the second quarter at Lucas Oil Stadium on November 10, 2024 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The Bills rank third because of their record and their quarterback. Four teams could theoretically be ranked here, but because of Josh Allens greatness he puts them above the other teams. The Bills are red hot as of late, winning 5 in a row. This week we will learn a lot about them, when they face the Kansas City Chiefs at home. If the Bills can hand the Chiefs their first loss everyone will start to look at them in a different light, and maybe just start thinking they can do what they haven't done, beat the Chiefs in the playoffs.
Pittsburgh Steelers

LANDOVER, MARYLAND - NOVEMBER 10: George Pickens #14 of the Pittsburgh Steelers avoids a tackle from Quan Martin #20 of the Washington Commanders in the third quarter of a game at Northwest Stadium on November 10, 2024 in Landover, Maryland.
The Steelers sit at 7-2 and are coming off their most impressive win against the Washington Commanders in Washington. The Steelers switched quarterbacks three weeks ago to Russell Wilson, even after Justin Fields got off to a 4-2 start with the two losses coming by 3 points each. Mike Tomlin went "lone wolf' in the decision to switch to Wilson, and it has worked as the steelers offense feels like it can out up points again averaging 30 plus points per game in the three games with Wilson at quarterback, leading the team to three straight wins. Wilson who is playing great, along with a hall of fame coach, and a great defense could be a recipe for success in the playoffs. The Steelers have a tough second half schedule so they will have plenty of opportunities to prove themselves.
Baltimore Ravens

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND - NOVEMBER 07: Derrick Henry #22 of the Baltimore Ravens rushes against the Cincinnati Bengals at M&T Bank Stadium on November 07, 2024 in Baltimore, Maryland.
The Ravens are the hardest team to rank because they have two extremely bad losses to two, two-win teams. Baltimore has arguably the best offense, but to cancel it out they have the worst passing defense in football. The Ravens have been as dominant as they get over the past few years during the regular season, when Lamar Jackson plays, but when it comes to playing in the playoffs Lamar Jackson always seems to disappear. For now, the Ravens still rank in the top 5 but come January they might not be as dangerous as they are now.
