Minecraft x Dungeons & Dragons Announce Official Collaboration
I never thought I would see the day when two games that are near and dear to my heart got together on this level. Well now Wizards of the Coast who have made and maintained arguably the most successful tabletop game Dungeons and Dragons (D&D), is partnering up with Mojang the creator of one if not the most popular video games in history Minecraft.

From IGN as announced in a recent live stream from Wizards of the Coast. The two games will be collaborating on two different projects one of which is already released. First for the D&D side is a free Minecraft monster compendium. This gives D&D fans stat blocks and descriptions for an assortment of well-known Minecraft mobs, such as Creepers, Endermen, and more. All of which can be used in a campaign.

Now onto the Minecraft side of things. It’s a lot bigger as a full-sized DLC is being released sometime this Spring. It will not only reskin a lot of Minecraft’s textures. But it will also add tons of classic D&D monsters such as beholders, mimics, and of course dragons!
All while exploring some of the most iconic places in the Forgotten Realms with a blocky twist. I’m curious to see how these monsters work as some are similar to already existing Minecraft mobs. Like the Ender Dragon. While others seem completely new. In previous years DLC’s both Star Wars and Halo have been made
I am super excited about this as I love both games so bringing them together in a fun and creative way is sure to be a hit. However, while the monster compendium is free, the DLC may not be as in previous years it cost anywhere from $10 – $20. So I’m curious to see where this huge DLC lands.
