Mets & Yankees Fans Sound off on Juan Soto News
Let’s just say the battle between Mets and Yankees fans on social media hit a fever pitch Sunday night, and there is no sign of stopping.
In the minutes and hours after word came down that former Yankees slugger Juan Soto was going to leave the Bronx for Queens and the New York Mets for a reported $765 million over 15 years, fans jumped all over social media to either vent their incredible glee or downright frustration.
And let’s just say we got some whoppers.
For Yankees fans, Soto’s joining the Mets was the equivalent of the Kiss of Death from The Godfather Part II. For Mets fans, well, let’s just say the flex is on BIG TIME!

Regardless of which side of the proverbial fence you fall on, one thing is certain after Soto signed with the Mets on Sunday night. The Subway Series is back!
It’s been a long time since Mets-Yankees has been as juicy as it will be this summer when Soto makes his anticipated return to the Bronx in a Mets uniform. Grab the popcorn now, it’s going to be a wild ride. The Mets visit Yankee Stadium from May 16 through the 18. The Yankees will travel to Citi Field during the Fourth of July weekend, July 4 through the 6.
While we might be in the midst of the holiday season, there are now just 64 days and counting until Spring Training.
