If you are heading out to Jersey Mike's Arena on Friday night to catch Rutgers women's basketball against Iowa, get there early.

Rutgers announced that Friday night's contest between the Scarlet Knights and third ranked Iowa will be sold out. And there is a very good reason why: Caitlin Clark.

Clark is one of college basketball's best players. She owns 45 (count 'em) 45 30-point games (including the postseason) which is the most by a Division I player in the last 25 seasons.

Just the other day, Clark drained a game winner against Michigan State in front of a packed house in Iowa. The place erupted.

Through her career, Clark is averaging 27.7 points per game, and has averaged 31.5 points per game this season. Last year she led Iowa all the way to the NCAA Championship game, before falling to LSU.

On Friday night, she leads 14-1 Iowa into the Garden State to face an up and coming Rutgers Scarlet Knights (6-10).

Rutgers lost its last match-up to Purdue in a squeaker, 77-76 with Destiny Adams leading the way with 23 points and 11 boards. Jilian Huerter (16), Lisa Thompson (16) and Mya Petticord (14) all reached double figures.

Let us not forget, Rutgers has its own scoring star in sophomore Kayline Smikle who has reached double figures in 37 career games and 20+ points in 20 contests.

If Friday's game turns into a Smikle vs. Clark battle, fans will be in for a show.

Fox Sports New Jersey will have live coverage beginning at 5:45 p.m. with tip-off at 6.
