The fall sports season is underway at Rutgers. Men’s soccer opened up the 2023 season on August 24 with a 3-2 loss to Delaware, while Women’s soccer wound up in a 1-1 tie with NC State on Thursday, and stands at 1-1-1 after three games.

The defending Big Ten Tournament champions fell to the Blue Hens of Delaware 3-2, despite getting off 17 shots in the season opener.
Cirian Dalton, who had a fantastic season as a freshman last year, was charged with three goals in defeat.
The Blue Hens scored first when Carlos Fernandez took a pass from midfield, caught up to the ball, and bounced it past a diving Dalton to give Delaware a 1-0 lead.
Rutgers answered the challenge when Saahb Kular knotted the game up at one with a header in the closing seconds of the first half.
