Rutgers Football Alum Isiah Pacheco Shines For Kansas City Chiefs
He might be wearing the number formally worn by Tyreek Hill, but former Rutgers star and running back Isiah Pacheco hopes to one day be as synonymous with that uniform number for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Pacheco ran for 62 yards and his first NFL touchdown in Kansas City’s 44-21 thumping of the Arizona Cardinals on Opening Day. Pacheco’s three-yard score came in the fourth quarter with 7:39 to play that proved to be the Chiefs’ final score of the afternoon.

Pacheco was drafted by the Chiefs in the seventh round of the 2022 draft. The four-year starter at Rutgers ran for 2,442 yards, 18 touchdowns, and averaged 4.3 yards per carry for the Scarlet Knights. He ran for 649 yards and five scores his senior year in 2021.
So for Pacheco, the early football season is looking pretty good. His new team, the Chiefs are 1-0. His alma mater is 2-0.
Rutgers visits Temple on Saturday. Pacheco and the Chiefs host the Chargers on Thursday Night Football, which can be seen only on Amazon if you have a Prime Video account.
