The Big Ten officially unveiled its 2024 football schedule -- one of the most highly anticipated revels ever for the conference. And it will be a heck of a gauntlet for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

With the additions of former Pac-12 teams Oregon, USC, UCLA, and Washington, the Big Ten will rotate opponents annually, meaning a team like Rutgers won't see the likes of Michigan until 2026, and Penn State until 2025.

Instead, Rutgers will face three of the former Pac-12 teams in the 2024 season, two of them will be making their way East to Piscataway next fall.

Rutgers will host Washington in Week 5, September 28 at SHI Stadium. UCLA will make its way to Jersey in Week 8, and the Scarlet Knights will head out to the City of Angels in Week 9 to take on the USC Trojans.

The season begins at home for Rutgers on August 31 against Howard University. The Howard game is the first of three straight non-conference games Rutgers will play right out of the gate.

The Scarlet Knights will host Akron in Week 2 on September 7, and visit Virginia Tech in week 4 on September 21.

Ironically the game against Washington in Week 5 will be Rutgers Big Ten opener.

Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois will also make trips to Jersey to take on the Scarlet Knights.

Game times and ticket info will be made available at a later date.
