Patriots Snap Skid, Get Back on Track with Win over Dogs

Portland, ME – The Somerset Patriots (27-15) took down the Portland Sea Dogs (22-21) by a score of 3-2 at Hadlock Field on Friday night.
Somerset jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the second on a Blake Perkins groundout, scoring Brandon Lockridge.
Portland responded with a run in the bottom half of the inning as Hudson Potts drew a bases loaded walk to bring home Pedro Castellanos, tying the ballgame at one.

Potts (6) launched a solo home run in the seventh inning to break the tie and give the Sea Dogs a 2-1 lead.
Josh Breaux (8) retaliated with a two-run blast in the eighth inning to retake the Patriots lead, clearing The Maine Monster in left field and bringing home Elijah Dunham to clinch a 3-2 victory.
Luis Medina threw five innings in his start for Somerset, allowing a run on four hits while striking out seven.
Emmanuel Ramirez (3-0) earned the win, allowing a run on two hits in two innings of relief, while Carson Coleman recorded his first save in a Patriots uniform, allowing one hit and striking out three in two shutout innings of work.

Zach Bryant (0-3) took the loss, allowing two runs to score on the Breaux home run in his one inning of work.
