Rutgers Field Hockey Remains Unbeaten Moving to 15-0
Rutgers Field Hockey remains perfect in 2023. The Scarlet Knights won their 15th game by taking down Indiana 4-2 in Piscataway on Friday. The victory moved Rutgers to 6-0 in Big Ten play. Now they welcome in the number one team in the country in 13-1 Northwestern on Sunday.
“We care so much and that really shows in how we’ve been playing this season,” Bridy Molyneaux said in a post game interview on Big Ten Network.
The 15 wins matched the 1984 squad for the second most victories in a single season by a Scarlet Knights team. Only the Big Ten champions from two seasons ago (19-4) won more games in a single season.
It didn’t take long for Rutgers to get on the scoreboard. Marique Dieudonne drilled the first goal of the day on a pass from Guillermina Causarano in the game’s opening minute to hand Rutgers a 1-0 lead.
Seven minutes later, Rutgers was on the board again when Bridy Molyneaux punched the ball into the net while taking in a feed from in front of the net to make it 2-0.
Indiana would storm back a pair of goals to tie the game in the third quarter.
With 10 minutes remaining in regulation, Rutgers was awarded a penalty stroke and cashed in when Puck Winter slapped the ball into the net for the 3-2 lead.
Three minutes later, Causarano added to her stellar offensive campaign when she tallied some insurance for Rutgers on a goal to make it 4-2.

Rutgers honored its 2023 seniors following the thriller vs. Indiana. This year’s honrees: Marique Dieudonne, Bridy Molyneaux, Carly Snarski, Lauren Kokoskie, Elise Pettisani, Sophia Howard and Iris Langejans.
