Giants Head Coach Lacks “Composure” According to Explosive Report
Let’s just say the Eagles and Cowboys weren’t the only ones having a bad weekend out of the NFC East.
A damning report was published over the weekend about Giants Head Coach Brian Daboll reveals the Giants coach acts like a bully on the sidelines, reportedly dressing down coaches, and has displayed “erratic” and “irrational” behavior.
Reported by Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News, Daboll reportedly placed blame on other coaches for the team’s struggles. He even placed blame on former Defensive Coordinator Wink Martindale for losing a game against the Jets 13-10; a game in which Daboll mismanaged the clock, allowing the Jets back into the game.
“You’re gonna lose this game just like you lost us the Jets game,” Daboll griped on the headset, according to numerous sources in the building.
The story comes a week after Martindale stepped down following a spat with Daboll that ended with Martindale reportedly swearing at Daboll, storming out of the building and hitching a flight to Florida.
The report also claims that Martindale alerted General Manager Joe Schoen about Daboll’s behavior, and that Schoen listened in on the headset for four games.
Daboll also took playing calling duties away from Offensive Coordinator Mike Kafka on “multiple occasions. Ironically, Kafka recently interviewed for the Tennessee Titans Head Coaching job.
“Daboll’s “unpredictability,” one source said, was his defining trait. There was no pattern, rhyme or reason to his changes from others’ perspectives.” – the report reads.
HOT SEAT OR NOT?
There is no indication or report that Daboll is on the Hot Seat. It could stand that Daboll will be the longest-tenured coach in the NFC East should the Cowboys and Eagles indeed follow through with rumors that Mike McCarthy and Nick Sirianni are in trouble following losses in the wild-card round of the playoffs.
