Schiano spoke about the leadership skills of quarterback Gavin Wimsatt, and working in his new players from the transfer portal.
"We got 30 days of football. 25 practices, now 24, and we got to take advantage of every single one, add up when it's all said and down and see where we are on September 3," Schiano said.
Schiano added that they will rotate players on defense, especially on the front seven and at linebacker.
"I feel better about where we are personnel-wise," Schiano added. "We have some real good competitions on the field right there."
