Could DeAndre Hopkins end up in New York with either the Jets or Giants?

It is possible now after the Arizona Cardinals released the 31-year old wide receiver from his contract on Friday with two-years and $34 million remaining.

That means that Hopkins is going to have his choice of where he wants to go.  The Giants would make the most sense, even though they don't exactly have the best cap room at just over $4 million according to Spotrac.

The G-Men have a pressing need at wide receiver for a top flight star that can stretch the field, and give Daniel Jones a weapon down field he's never had before. Hopkins -- even coming off of two bad years fits that mold.

The Jets, would be an intriguing pick too. Hopkins said he wants to play with a quarterback who makes the team click. The Jets have that now in Aaron Rodgers.

Gang Green will also have to get creative with cap space to make it happen. They are trying to re-sign defensive end Quinnen Williams to a long term deal. Bringing in Hopkins means a player Corey Davis would have to be released.

Then there are the Chiefs and Bills, who are in the bottom half of the league in cap space, but are look upon as a favorite to be a potential landing spot.

We'll see how this plays out.
