The Somerset Patriots walked it off thanks to a sac fly by T.J. Rumfield in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Patriots took advantage of three Reading errors to win 4-3 on Friday night in Somerset.

With the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth, Rumfield skied to deep center for the sac fly, which was dropped by the center fielder Johan Rojas, as Trey Sweeney crossed the plate with the winning run.

The ninth inning heroics culminated a heroic comeback by the Patriots who trailed 3-0 heading into the bottom of the fifth.

Top Yankees prospect Jasson Dominguez drove in the first run on a ground out in the bottom of the fifth. Finally Brandon Lockridge lined a two-run single in the sixth, tying the game at three.

Tanner Myatt and Lisandro Santos were terrific in relief, combining for four innings of two-hit baseball.

The series continues Saturday night, weather permitting.
