Yankees Slugger Aaron Judge Accused of “Stealing” Signs by Blue Jays Broadcast
Aaron Judge is Major League Baseball’s reigning MVP, but last night in Toronto, he was basically accused of stealing signs by the Toronto Blue Jays broadcast which noticed the slugger glancing to his right just before pitches were delivered.
“You don’t wanna go throwing allegations around without knowing but…”

Judge was caught by the Blue Jays camera’s looking to his right during an at bat in the eighth inning before lifting a solo homer to straight away center field to give the Yankees a 7-0 lead. They would win 7-4. Judge hit two home runs on the night.
When asked about it by reporters, Judge initially seemed puzzled, then said he heard “chirping” in the dugout and was looking to see whom was yelling from the Yankees dugout.

He then responded:
“A lot of chirping from our dugout which I really didn’t like in the situation where it’s a 6-0 game.” pic.twitter.com/MBK4GuCGPC
The accusations have led to conspiracy theories online that Judge and the Yankees were cheating. Remember the Houston Astros were caught, punished for their infamous sign stealing scandal back in 2017. Some Astros fans even took to Twitter to sound off on Aaron Judge.

It’s baseball, so I get why people automatically jump to cheating. Cheating and baseball are synonymous with each other. But A) Judge is historically good and doesn’t need to cheat, and B) After what happened to Houston, no team is dumb enough to try something so egregious imo. https://t.co/9DAPHBfHke

Take your sides everyone in this latest baseball conspiracy debate. It’s May, and until proven otherwise, people need something to talk about.
