It’s looking more and more likely that the inevitable is going to become a reality: Aaron Rodgers will play for the New York Jets this year.
According to multiple reports there is “optimism” that a deal between the Jets and Green Bay Packers is going to get reached.

According to Zach Rosenblat of the Athletic, the Jets would like to avoid paying the $59 million guaranteed money price tag on Rodgers contract and are working with the Packers to break that money up. Will a deal get done by Friday? We’ll see.
This is a key point on the Aaron Rodgers talks: I'd heard that Woody Johnson preferred not to pay the full $59.5 million owed to him, so will be interesting to see how much/if Packers are willing to eat of that to make a deal happen. https://t.co/3Ft0ieCzc4
