Will The New York Giants Make A Bold Trade Of Saquon Barkley?
NFL fans are looking toward the upcoming trade deadline set for next Tuesday, November 1st. This is the last chance for teams to make any kind of moves when it comes to their roaster. Though will anyone take the chance? Perhaps the Giants will.
They currently stand as one of the leading teams in the NFC as well as the NFL as a whole. But is that enough to bring them to their long-awaited Superbowl dreams? With pressure looming over rookie coach Joe Schoen a question remains for the team.
According to NJ.com Will Schoen may trade current running back Saquon Barkley, in an attempt to secure a more confident spot in next year’s draft? Excuse me you wanna run that one by me again?

Looking at just this the answer should be an obvious no. Barkley is one of the top leading running backs of the season only currently being topped by Nick Chubb from the Browns. Getting rid of such a vital resource would not go over well both on and off the field. However, that’s exactly why Schoen might consider such a bold move. Barkley’s overall trade value is at its highest and taking advantage of the chance may help the Giants in the long run when it comes to Quarterbacks.
Nothing against current QB Daniel Jones, but he is currently ranked 11th in terms of QBs according to NFL.com. Despite playing amazing on the field by not turning the ball over and making critical passes. In terms of his stats, he’s considered below the middle of the pack with a competition percentage of 66.7 and 1223 passing yards. But as far as experience goes, the Giants are having one of their best seasons since 2012. Putting their hopes of reaching the playoffs which they haven’t done since 2016 one step closer. So, any kind of drastic changes might upset that balance that Jones and Barkley have, but can couch Schoen really put his faith in Jones to carry the team for not only this season, but the next few to come?

With him losing players like Sterling and others being questionable. The pressure will be critical for their next few games. Though while the likely hood of Barley being traded is low. There are other players that might be on the chopping block. As a tight end, Daniel Bellinger is scheduled for surgery after sustaining an injury during their game against the Jaguars. So, with him being possibly out for the rest of the season. The Giants may be in desperate need if they want to keep up the pressure against their next match against the Seahawks and then the Cowboys who gave them their only loss of the season.
