Rutgers Honors Five Seniors Prior to Penn State Game
Rutgers Men’s Basketball recognized five seniors on Senior Day prior to the regular season finale against Penn State.
The five honorees include: Geo Baker, Ron Harper Jr., Caleb McConnell, Luke Nathan, and Ralph Agee.
Baker was named the Co-Big Ten Player of the Week following wins over 16th ranked Ohio State and 14th ranked Wisconsin earlier this year. He is also a Three-time All-Big Ten, three-time All-Met selection and three-time Academic All-Big Ten.
Harper Jr. has been best known for a couple of clutch shots game winning shots this season against Purdue and Indiana to position Rutgers for a postseason run. He set a career high with 31 points and six three-pointers against Maryland this season, and is on the Watch List for the Julius Erving Award.
McConnell is considered one of the best defensive players in the Nation. He is already a semifinalist for the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year Award, and is on the watch list for the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Award.
Nathan played in 18 games in his Rutgers career, and Agee – a graduate student – has logged over 119 minutes on the floor this year. He had a game high 14 points against U-Mass in November.
