Rutgers Women’s BBall Suffers Eighth Straight Loss
MICHIGAN STATE 61 – RUTGERS 45
After jumping out to a 16-4 lead and shooting 72 percent from the floor in the first quarter, Rutgers women’s basketball couldn’t keep the momentum going, suffering a 61-45 loss to Michigan State, the clubs’ eighth straight loss this season. Rutgers now stands at 7-15 on the season, and 0-10 in the Big Ten Conference.
Michigan State opened the second quarter on an 8-0 run to take a 23-18 lead on Rutgers, and never looked back.

Lasha Petree led Rutgers with 15 points on 5-of-12 shooting. Osh Brown contributed 10 points, and Shug Dickson added 13 points.
Michigan State had four players in double figures, including Nia Clouden who led the way with 17 points on 5-of-9 shooting, and 6-0f-7 from the free throw line for the Spartans.
