Rangers Power Past Leafs, Devils Silenced by Coyotes
Trailing 3-1 after one period, the New York Rangers mounted an impressive comeback, scoring five unanswered goals, including two each from Ryan Reeves and Adam Fox as the Blue Shirts skated past the Toronto Maple Leafs 6-3 at the Garden.
Toronto scored all three of its goals in the first period, and even held a 2-0 lead less than four minutes into the game on goals by Ilya Mikheyev and Mitchell Marner.
Reeves, a 12-year veteran, who had not scored at all this season, scored his first of two goals on a duel assist by Fox and Greg McKegg to cut the Leafs lead to 2-1 with a little over seven minutes remaining in the period.

The third period was all Rangers, as Ryan Strome gave New York the lead when he snuck a pass from the circle into the net to make it 4-3 Rangers.

Meanwhile, there wasn’t such luck for the Devils over at the Prudential Center.
The Devils were silenced by the Arizona Coyotes 4-1 in Jersey’s first game in a week, as it continues to battle with COVID postponements.
Things were looking up early for the Devils as Nico Hischier scored the first goal of the night to give New Jersey a 1-0 lead in the first period.
However it was all Coyotes after that. Arizona scored four consecutive goals, including three in the second period. New Jersey attempted 36 shots on goal, but Arizona goaltender Karel Vejmelka made 35 saves in an incredible performance.
Devils goalie, MacKenzie Blackwood recorded 13 saves on 17 shots against him.
New Jersey is now 14-19-5.
