Zach Wilson Takes Positive Steps in Redevelopment in Preseason Opener
The final score read: Browns 21 – Jets 16, but in preseason the final score really doesn’t matter.
What mattered for the New York Jets on Thursday is they left Canton feeling pretty good about a number of aspects, especially the play of quarterback Zach Wilson.
Wilson completed 3-of-5 passes for 65 yards, including dropping a 57-yard dime to Malik Taylor on a drive that helped set up a field goal.

The former first round pick showed poise in the pocket, although he did have a pass batted down on a key third down, and ran short of the sticks on a drive earlier in the quarter. Still it was progress.

Meanwhile the Jets defense was a mixed bag. They forced a couple of Cleveland Browns turnovers, but got chewed up for 172 yards on the ground.
On the flip side a lot of talk Thursday was about Aaron Rodgers’ who seemed to be enjoying himself talking and working with players on the sideline. At one point he even got Canton’s version of a darkness retreat when the stadium lights went out.
Some of the lights have gone off at the stadium, and the #Jets-#Browns game is now in a delay.

Hall of Famer’s:
Finally, the night wouldn’t be complete without two Jets Hall of Famer’s. Both Joe Klecko and Darrell Revis will be inducted into the hallowed halls on Saturday. Both played for very different Jets teams. Klecko was the anchor of the Jets Sack Exchange in the 1980s, while Revis anchored the cornerback position during the Rex Ryan era a little over a decade ago.
THE WAIT IS OVER!

That said, this had to make Jets fans sick to their stomach’s, seeing Darrelle Revis hang out with Justin McCourtey and Rodney Harrison to reflect on winning a Super Bowl in New England. Revis spent only one season with the Patriots back in 2017.
