Sixers Stun Nets with Late Run to Take 3-0 Series Lead
The Brooklyn Nets are on the brink after suffering a heartbreaking 102-97 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers at Barclays Center on Thursday night.
Thanks to a 35-point third quarter, the Nets carried a six-point lead into the third quarter, and even led by five-points, 96-91, with a little over two minutes to go in the game. It was looking the Nets would be on their way to scratching out a win in this series.
Then it all fell apart.
Tyrese Maxy, who finished the night with 25-points, nailed a three-pointer and a two-point jumper within 26 seconds on each other to tie the game at 96.

After Mikal Bridges missed a 15-foot jumper, Maxy nailed a 26-foot three-point attempt with 44.1 seconds to go to put the Sixers up by three, 99-96.
The Nets never recovered, hurting themselves down the stretch with fouls and turnovers.
P.J. Tucker and De’Anthony Melton added the final three-points on the night for Philly, as they came away with a 102-97 victory.
The Sixers now own a commanding 3-0 series, and can finish off the Nets on Saturday.
