PREDATORS 6 - DEVILS 4

After consecutive thrillers, the New Jersey Devils couldn't hold off a miraculous Nashville comeback, falling 6-4 on the road Thursday night.

In a game that was mostly a back and forth affair, the Devils held a narrow 3-2 lead until Mikael Granlund knotted the game up at three on a back-hander up against the net with 8:27 to go in the second period.

It was all Nashville from there. The Predators scored three times in the third period with Matt Duchene giving the Preds the lead 4-3 with a little over 11 minutes to go in regulation. Filip Forsberg padded that lead with his 19th goal of the year to make it 5-3.

Jake Hughes did score his 31st goal of the year in the second period for the Devils. Jesper Bratt scored his 19th of the year for Jersey.

The Devils don't have time to dwell on the loss. they head down to Dallas to face the Stars tonight.
