Devils Fall to Bruins For Second Time in Five Days
BRUINS 3 – DEVILS 1
For the second time in five days, the New Jersey Devils came up short against the Boston Bruins, this time by the score of 3-1.
Jersey has now lost nine of ten, and finds itself six points behind the Carolina Hurricanes for first place in the Metro Division.
Against the Bruins, who improved their league best record to 28-4-3, the Devils just couldn’t muster enough offense, nor slow down a late Boston charge.
Nico Hischier tied the game at one when he took Fabian Zetterlund pass and tapped it into the net to knotting the game up.

Still it wasn’t enough to slow down Boston. Nine minutes later Patrice Bergeron tapped in the go-ahead goal and Pavel Zacha followed some 2:30 minutes later with an empty netter to put the Bruins up 3-1.
Bergeron, the veteran center, has now scored two goals on the Devils this season.
