The League of Legends World Championship is this Sunday and the time for action has come. Will T1 be the dominant beast that they have been throughout the entire tournament? Or will DRX the team nobody thought would make it this far come out on top?
Next stop, SanFran 🌉🏆🛫

Well, one major question that needs answering is how we got to this point and how has each team performed. Starting with T1 a fan favorite for sure, they have shown massive amounts of skill and teamwork becoming better and better with each game. In the Group Stage T1 beat out the other teams with an impressive 5-1 score and moving on to knockouts they beat out RNG with ease and beat another fan favorite JDG in the semifinals. This year has already been a great one no matter the outcome as the last championship match T1 went to was in 2017 when they lost to Samsung Galaxy. If T1 wins this would be their fourth title the last one gained in 2016.

Over on DRX’s side, this is the story of a lifetime as during the regular season DRX went 9-9 so not bad, but they needed to pick up the pace quickly if they wanted any hope of making it. Well, they kicked it into high gear during the Plain in Stage where they went undefeated, and in Groups, they went 5-2. Though it was the Knockout Stage where they not only showed off but won the hearts of the fans as they beat last year’s champion team Edward Gaming in the quarterfinals in a shocking reverse sweep. Meaning they won three of the five games in a row. And then they beat Gen.G last year’s 4th-place team.
Only two teams remain:

So now it’s game time, but can we really say that DRX is the underdog after coming so far and having achieved so much? Honestly no, DRX I think will be able to pull out a very close game and I want them to win over T1. So, I’ll certainly be paying close attention to the game this Sunday at 8 pm PDT.
