Top 5 Nets Games 2021-2022 Season
This season was full of ups and downs for the Nets. They ended way earlier than expected but I chose what I thought was their best games from this past season.
January 12: Nets vs Bulls: One of the few times Irving, Harden and Durant were able to play with each other. They looked like they could not be touched. Durant had 27 points and nine assists, Harden had 26 points and 16 assists and Irving had an off night but the team got the win and with all three healthy this team looked poised to make a great run.
February 16: Nets vs Knicks: The Nets come back from a 28 point deficit riding the hot hand of rookie Cam Thomas. No Durant, Irving and Simmons for this one. The rookies had one of the best games of the season. He scored 16 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter.
March 10: Nets vs Sixers: This is the first game since the Ben Simmons and James Harden trade. Simmons did not play but when he walked out for warm-ups he was welcomed with boos from the crowd. It was a bad night for the Harden and the Sixers. Harden shot 3-17 from the field only scoring 11 points. While Kevin Durant had 25 points and 14 rebounds and Kyrie Irving had 22 points and 5 assists.
March 15: Nets vs Magic: After Durant dropped 53 earlier that week, Irving comes out and drops 60. In the first half he had 41 points. Kobe Bryant dropped 43 in a first half back in 2003, that was the last time we seen someone drop at least 40 in the first half. Irving shot 20 for 31, 8 for 12 from three and made 12 out of 13 free throws.
April 6: Nets vs Knicks: This time around at MSG the two stars for the Nets are playing, Irving and Durant. The team was down by 21 but Durant this time led the comeback. Durant had 32 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. This was a big win for the Nets as they kept pace in the Eastern Conference play-in tournament.
