Knicks Blow Another Big Lead, Fall to Nets 111-106
Nets rookie Cam Thomas dominated the boards in the fourth quarter, while the Knicks, once again, blew a huge lead in falling to their crosstown rivals 111-106.
Thomas dished out 16 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter as the Nets stormed back from down 28. Thomas hit a pair of jump shots with a little over four minutes remaining in the game that first tied the game, and later gave the Nets a 99-97 lead with 3:58 to go.
After Julius made his presence felt with a couple of buckets to give the Knicks the lead back with 2:52 to go, the newest member of the Nets, Seth Curry drilled a three-pointer to swing the arrow back in Brooklyn’s favor.
Finally with 7.7 seconds left, Cam Thomas put the dagger in the Knicks with a 29-foot three-pointer that blew the game wide open at 109-103 that left an injured Kevin Durant celebrating on the bench.
