Ahead of the upcoming Stadium Series games, the NHL unveiled a new look for the four teams who will be participating Friday morning.

According to the NHL, these jerseys are meant to "convey a futuristic vision of hockey played outdoors." They feature oversized numbers and a 2024 Stadium Series patch.

Devils

Up first, the Devils. The team inverts their colors a little bit, hitting the ice with a dark red jersey with black stripes. They will also have an encircled black Devils logo on the crest. The Devis last played in an outdoor game in 2014, facing off against the Rangers at Yankee Stadium. This was the NHL's first outdoor game in New York City.

Flyers

Returning for their 6th outdoor game, the Philadelphia Flyers. Flyers will be playing in a white sweater and a nameplate that stretches across the whole jersey, creating stripes on the sleeve. The Flyers last played outdoors in 2021 at Lake Tahoe in a losing effort against the Boston Bruins. Their outdoor record currently stands at 1-3-1.

The Devils and Flyers face off on Friday, February 17 at 8:00 p.m.

Rangers

Keeping a similar aesthetic to their road jerseys, the Rangers have a white jersey with blue and red stripes. The initials "NYR" are plastered diagonally across the body of the jersey. The Rangers are coming into this stadium series with an undefeated 5-0 record in outdoor games. They last appeared in the 2018 Winter Classic at Citi Field, defeating the Buffalo Sabres 3-2 in overtime.

Islanders

Islands are arriving in a dark blue jersey with an orange stripe across the chest that reads "ISLES." According to the NHL, this is one of the largest chest stripes made by Adidas for the league.  The league continues to say the orange stripe represents the Plimsoll line painted on the hull of a ship. The Islanders only appearance in an outdoor game was in 2014, in a losing effort to the Rangers.

The two teams are squaring off on Saturday, February 18th, at 3:00 pm.

The NHL says the Stadium Series jerseys will be available for purchase on the league website on February 5.

New Jersey Devils Honor 2003 Champs with Record Win

Twenty years ago the New Jersey Devils won their third Stanley Cup in a period of eight years when they topped the Anaheim Mighty Ducks in seven incredible games, capped off by a 3-0 shutout in Game 7 at Continental Airlines Arena.

On Saturday, the Devils honored that team chuck full of legends from Martin Brodeur, Scott Stevens, Scott Niedermayer, Patrick Elias, and Ken Daneko to name just a few, before taking the ice against Philadelphia.

The nostalgia was off the hook.

As for the game itself, the current crop of Devils made a little history scoring seven goals, the most the franchise has scored against Philly. Dawson Mercer also extended his scoring streak to six games as the Devils won their second straight with a 7-0 win.

Jersey scored three goals in the opening period, with Jonas Siegenthaler getting the party started some three minutes into the game.

Before it was all said and done, seven different Devils players scored a goal including: Siegenthaler, Jack Hughes, Mercer, Nico Hischier, Dougie Hamilton, Jesper Bratt, and Nathan Bastain.

Akira Schmid recorded 23 saves in the shutout. Let's relieve the moments below!
