The ‘Five Nights At Freddy’s’ Movie Is Finally Being Made In 2023
Blumhouse Productions is the studio behind massively successful and terrifying films such as Halloween Kills (2021) and the Insidious franchise, however now president Jason Blum has announced the filming of a horror game movie that sparked a generation.
Five Nights at Freddy’s or FNAF for short is a horror game franchise that started in 2014 and was made by Scott Cawthon. On paper the game’s concept is pretty basic. You play as a night guard and must survive the night shift at a pizza restaurant for five nights. All while being hunted by haunted animatronics. So basically, if Chuck E Cheese was trying to get you. However, the game showed a hidden plot in the background elements of the game. This built a massive community trying to solve the real plot which included YouTuber Matt Pat, who runs the Game Theory channel.

Since 2014 there have been about nine more games not including the number of spin-offs or fan-made titles. As well as multiple book series on the franchise. Now a movie will finally be thrown into the mix, but fans have been hearing the same thing for years. Plans for the film were originally announced back in 2017. However, said plans changed as Scott stepped away and Steel Wool Studios took over to make the most recent titles in the series. So, for years it looked as if the story would never make the big screen.

Emma Tammi is our director
Filming on #FNAF starts in February 2023. Boom.
However, that all seems to be changing now as Jason Blum, tweeted about not only a director for the film who is Emma Tammi. But also how animatronics are being made indicating that they may not be utilizing total CGI. Though that is just a theory what isn’t is when filming starts. Which per Jason’s tweet will kick up sometime in February.
This is a huge step for the franchise as the latest DLC for FNAF Security Breach titled Ruin will also be released in 2023 for free. I’m sure the community will start to get hyped as more information is released, so be sure to keep updated on all your favorite forms of entertainment so you never miss all the action.
