According to Tap Into New Brunswick, city police have arrested and charged a 34-year old New Brunswick man in relation to the stabbing death of 36-year old Barry James of Edison.
The incident took place on Monday, September 12.
The suspect, Rahmaad Howard was charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Tap Into reports that police responded to the area of Throop Avenue and Townsend Street at around 6:29 a.m. on Monday where they located James, who had sustained multiple stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Furthermore, police reason that this was not an action of random violence as Howard knew James.
