Watching movies has always been a love of mine. Something about it just seems magical, maybe because despite being overpriced I loved going to theaters. Though for the films on this list forget movies and popcorn because they straight up stink. With roughly half a million movies to exist in the history of cinema calling something the worst has some pretty big implications.

However, we went back to Rotten Tomatoes as they listed the Top 100 worst movies to ever exist and well they have several good points. I mean looking at some of the movies just made me cringe at how bad they were. So which ones were the worst of the worst?

Well for the list to be as fair and accurate as can be, the movies on Rotten Tomatoes list had to hit certain criteria like having no less than twenty reviews. That was it wasn’t being filled with movies that nobody has ever seen. We want people to have seen these movies and collectively gone “Huh that stinks.”

Let’s take a look at what is considered some of the worst movies to ever hit the big screen.

  • 10: Jaws: The Revenge (1987)

This was the forth and last in an already to long line of follow-ups to the hit 1975 classic Jaws. This film is credited as being a cheap and tension free chapter in what was once a blooming franchise. Where the effects for the original Jaws might be aged they are still hold up. Looking at Jaws: The Revenge it looks like a jump cut mess though it’s still considered better than the rest on the list.

  • 9. The Last Days Of American Crime (2020)

The only film from this decade in the lower ranks is this 2020 action/mystery has some decent acting and a plot I can deal with. Though reviews say it is full of poorly written cliches and is a poor adaptation to the novel it’s based on. Which is what drew in most people in the first place.

  • 8. Gold Digger (2003)

Where the previous entrant had some highlights the only thing really remotely redeeming about the 2003 comedy was it’s casting. A poor imitation at the comedy style used in movies like Dumb and Dumber (1994). This movie according to critics used cheap laughs and tries to be shocking, but just misses the mark entirely. Than was the named National Lampoon which was known for having most horrendous films. Not all were bad, but this one certainly was.

  • 7. Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2 (2004)

Where National Lampoon at least had some okay movies, I’m wondering what made Hollywood think a sequel to an already hated movie would be a good idea. A follow up to the 1999 Baby Geniuses which received a lot of hate for it’s unfunny humor. Even if the jokes are being said from babies. I mean I wanna know how they got Jon Voight to be apart of this I’ll never know.

  • 6. Pinocchio (2002)

This creepy 2002 dubbed version of the classic Pinocchio. Is called unfunny and scary due to the fact that at the time a 60 year old actor was playing the boy made of wood. Yikes maybe Geppedo should have made him a wooden wig as well.

  • 5. Gotti (2018)

Gotti is your average run of the mill mob movie. However the critics call Travolta’s character unfunny and sometimes forced. Someone should have given this film the kiss of death and stopped it at the writing table.

  • 4. A Thousand Words (2012)

A Thousand Words does something most films can’t do. That being getting Eddie Murphy to not talk. Which isn’t a good thing according to critics. I like the concept of the movie, but it’s a waste of Murphy’s talent.

  • 3. Left Behind (2014)

I love a good Nicholas Cage films. This isn’t one of them. As the effects are either poor or completely out of touch. The concept of getting left behind in the rapture is a great one, but in this film it’s just wasted.

  • 2. One Missed Call (2008)

Now I’m down for spooky horror films. However this did not make it into Rotten Tomatoes most Scariest films of all time. In fact it is considered the second worst film ever.

  • 1. Ballistic: Ecks vs Sever (2002)

Now the very worst film of all time is one I’ve never heard of. Though reviews say it is just a unnecessary barrage of bullets and explosions. Though unlike some bad movies this one has no cult following in it’s future.
