So while most of us are consumed by American football this Thanksgiving Day holiday, there is this thing called the World Cup that has soccer mavens ... excuse me ... futbol mavens across the planet are going bonkers.

The United State and England renewed their storied rivalry on Friday afternoon in a match that ended in a 0-0 tie.

The United States out-shot England 10-8, even though the Brits had more shots on goal 3-1. Still, neither team scored.

England is now 1-0-1 in the tournament, while the US is 0-0-2. The States will need to beat Iran on Tuesday if they want to advance. In case you are curious, Iran beat Wales 2-0.

Of course, the reaction online was ... well ... interesting.

To sum it up, people in England are devastated. People in the US are pleased it ended in a tie, and now back to the NFL and college football.

British Fans Not Pleased

First time in a long time.

Time to be Proud US Fans?

Last we checked Zach Wilson doesn't play soccer.
