How good is the Rutgers Women's Soccer team? Real good. As in really, really good. The Ladies put forward a tore de force offensively against the Temple Owls, shutting them out 7-0 to improve to 5-0 on the season. It marks the third time in the last four seasons that the Scarlet Knights opened the season 5-0 dating back to 2019. Last season Rutgers started the year 6-0.

Seven different players scored goals on Thursday night, including an incredible corner kick by Kylie Daigle that sliced into the net at the 47:42 mark that put Rutgers up 3-0.

Sam Kroeger, Emily Mason, Becci Fluchel, Allie Post, Hailey Gutowski, Mallory McGuire also scored for Rutgers in the victory.

Rutgers outshot the Owls 19-0 as the Rutgers defense totally shutdown Temple's offense and kept it from getting anywhere near goalie Megan McClelland who played 75 minutes to earn her 38th career shutout.

Let's relieve the highlights!!
