A popular New York dumpling shop is breaking ground in the Garden State. Brooklyn Dumpling Shop, which is located on 1st Avenue, New York, NY, will soon be opening a location in Hoboken, New Jersey. The restaurant is expecting to open sometime this month according to Fast Casual.
The company was founded by Stratis Morfogen and has “partnered with Fransmart to expand its presence and has 75 units in development and is on track to have 250 units in development within the next two years,” the website reports.
“We’ve built a restaurant model that has allowed us to rapidly grow,” Morfogen said in a company press release. “What separates us from other franchises is that we are hands-on from build-out to post-opening operations so that our franchisees are not only supported, they’re set up for ongoing success.”
The Brooklyn Dumpling Shop has several traditional and non-traditional Chinese dumpling flavors on its menu. Some of those flavors include The Reuben, Philly Cheesesteak, bacon cheeseburger, lamb Gyro with tzatziki, three blend cheeseburger, pastrami, buffalo ranch chicken, and more. They also offer a sweeter dumpling in the flavor peanut butter and jelly. Each order comes with four dumplings.
BDS also offers vegan options such as ginger chicken, The Impossible Burger, Thai peanut chicken, cheeseburger, and Asian veggie, all plant-based.
When it comes to breakfast and dessert, Brooklyn Dumpling Shop has you covered there as well. For breakfast, the restaurant offers dumplings in bacon, egg, and cheese or sausage, egg, and cheese flavors with a croissant wrapping.
For dessert, they have caramel apple, dark melted, and vanilla chocolate. They also have Nutella, dark melted chocolate, and warm berries served with vanilla or chocolate chip ice cream. Each dessert order comes with three dumplings.
They are open Monday through Thursday from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. and Friday to Sunday for 24 hours according to their Instagram.
The dumpling spot wants to expand its restaurant to other New Jersey locations soon in Newark (coming in December), Princeton, Bergen County, Montclair, and New Brunswick, sometime in Q4.
