The New Jersey Devils have announced the club’s 2022-23 Theme Night and Giveaway schedule. The list of theme nights includes the Home Opener, 2003 Championship 20th Anniversary Night, Star Wars Night, Marvel Super Hero Night, Mascot Madness Kids Day, Youth Hockey Day, and more. 

The Devils will showcase specialty warm-up jerseys for select Hockey Is For Everyone initiatives throughout the season in collaboration with the New Jersey Council on the Arts and Newark Arts. 

There will be various holiday-themed games on the calendar including Halloween, Thanksgiving, Holiday Season, and St. Patrick’s Day. There will be several heritage and cultural celebrations and group nights throughout the season including Jewish Community Night, Portuguese Heritage Night, Mental Health Awareness Night, First Responders Night, and more.

  • October 15, 2022 - Home Opener

    (New Jersey Devils vs. Detroit at 7:00 p.m. ET)

    When the Devils host their first home game of the season, all fans in attendance will receive a Light-Up Wristband. Make sure to arrive early to catch a special pregame show featuring the giveaway item.

  • October 22, 2022 – Mascot Madness

    (New Jersey Devils vs. San Jose at 1:00 p.m. ET)

    Multiple mascots from around the NHL and sports teams in the area join Devils’ mascot, NJ Devil, during this Saturday afternoon Kids Day. Make sure to stop by the Citizens activation outside of Section 18 to join in celebrating NJ Devil’s birthday by signing his birthday card.  There will be special kids-themed activations in-arena, and fans will have the opportunity to sign up for a post-game skate with NJ and the mascots.

  • October 28, 2022 – Hispanic Heritage Night

    (New Jersey Devils vs. Colorado at 7:00 p.m. ET)

    The Devils will host their first Hockey is for Everyone game when they celebrate Hispanic Heritage Night during this Friday night matchup.

  • October 30, 2022 – 40 Years a Devil

    (New Jersey Devils vs. Columbus at 2 p.m. ET)

    The Devils will look to celebrate Ken Daneyko’s 40th season with the team, dating back to when he was drafted in May 1982, and through his 20-year NHL career. The day will include a pre-game on-ice ceremony and highlights from Daneyko’s playing and broadcasting career. The game will also celebrate Ukrainian Heritage Night, which is a cause Daneyko has supported throughout his career.

  • November 12, 2022 - Military Appreciation Night

    (New Jersey Devils vs. Arizona at 7:00 p.m. ET)

    The Devils and their fans honor our troops during this Saturday night matchup. The first 9,000 fans in attendance will receive a military-inspired hat courtesy of Prudential and there will be concourse activations, in-game features, and more.

  • November 21, 2022 - Hockey Fights Cancer

    (New Jersey Devils vs. Edmonton at 7:00 p.m. ET)

    Prudential Center turns lavender when the Devils host their annual Hockey Fights Cancer Night to help raise money to combat cancer. There will be ways to get involved and support the cause released closer to the night.

  • December 17, 2022 - Star Wars Night

    (New Jersey Devils vs. Florida at 7:00 p.m. ET)

    Star Wars Night returns to The Rock this December. There will be dozens of characters on the concourse, theme music and game presentation elements.

  • December 28, 2022 - Pride Night

    (New Jersey Devils vs. Boston at 7:00 p.m. ET)

    Celebrate Pride at The Rock during this Friday night matchup at Prudential Center. Fans will have the opportunity to get involved and support the cause with various fundraising activities and more.

  • January 1, 2023 - Youth Hockey Day

    (New Jersey Devils vs. Carolina at 3:00 p.m. ET) 

    The team will celebrate the sport of hockey in New Jersey by kicking off 2023 with a New Years’ Day game dedicated to youth hockey players. The 2022-23 Dr. John J. McMullen Award recipient will be honored that day.

  • January 22, 2023 – Lunar New Year

    (New Jersey Devils vs. Pittsburgh at 2:00 p.m. ET)

    There will be a Lunar New Year celebration at The Rock during this Sunday matinee game with special performances, decorations and in-arena elements.

  • February 21, 2023 - Black History Celebration

     (New Jersey Devils vs. Montreal at 7:00 p.m. ET)

    The Devils will celebrate Black History Month with special in-game features, exclusive content, fundraising activities and more during this Tuesday night puck drop at Prudential Center.

  • February 25, 2023 – 2003 Championship 20th Anniversary Night

    (New Jersey Devils vs. Philadelphia at 7:00 p.m. ET)

    The Devils will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the 2003 Stanley Cup Champion team prior to puck drop. There will be a special pre-game ceremony to commemorate the night, and the first 9,000 fans in attendance will receive a replica 2003 Stanley Cup ring.

  • March 7, 2023 - Gender Equality Night

    (New Jersey Devils vs. Toronto at 7:00 p.m. ET)

    Celebrate Gender Equality Month at The Rock where the Devils will highlight the importance of gender inclusion in the sport of hockey and within the organization, building upon initiatives led by the National Hockey League to support gender equality throughout the sport at all levels. The 2023 NJSIAA Girls High School Ice Hockey State Champions will be recognized prior to the National Anthem.

  • March 16, 2023 - St. Patrick's Day

    (New Jersey Devils vs. Tampa Bay at 7:00 p.m. ET)

    The Rock will turn green to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day during this Thursday matchup at Prudential Center. Devils players will showcase a St. Patrick’s themed warm-up jersey prior to puck drop.

  • March 21, 2023 – Marvel Super Hero Night

    (New Jersey Devils vs. Minnesota at 7:00 p.m. ET)

    Fans will experience a Marvel Comics in-game takeover during this Tuesday night matchup. Come meet some of your favorite Marvel superheroes as they take over the concourse, and the first 9,000 fans in attendance will receive a limited edition Devils themed Marvel comic book designed by a Marvel artist.

  • April 4, 2023 – Autism Acceptance Night

    (New Jersey Devils vs. Pittsburgh at 7:00 p.m. ET)

    The Devils will host an Autism Acceptance Night inclusive of changes to game presentation elements, safe spaces, and more during this Tuesday night matchup.

  • April 11, 2023 - Fan Appreciation Night

    (New Jersey Devils vs. Buffalo at 7:00 p.m. ET)

    The Devils will celebrate the fans during Fan Appreciation Night. The first 9,000 fans in attendance will receive a Dougie Hamilton bobblehead. There will be in-game prizes, activations, and more to celebrate the conclusion of the 2022-23 regular season.
