The Somerset Patriots walked it off again for the second time this week against the Colorado Rockies Double-A affiliate, the Hartford Yardgoats with Jession Rosario playing the role of the hero.

Rosario's single in the bottom of the ninth inning brought home the game-winning run as the Patriots took down the Goats 2-1 at TD Bank Ballpark.

The game-winning hit came with the bases loaded, much like the grand slam that Ben Rice hit the other night.

Rosario, one of the few holdovers from the start of the season is hitting at .206 on the year but has 40 RBIs to show for it.

The Right Fit

Richard Fitts continues to dominate on the mound for the Somerset Patriots. He blanked the Yard Goats over six innings of work, allowing only seven base runners. He struck out four and lowered his ERA to 3.16.

Ejiah Dun-it again

Patriots outfielder Elijah Dunham was once again in the middle of the Patriots offense, cracking a solo home run to start off the ninth inning that tied up the proceedings. Dunham finished the night with two hits.

Since returning to Somerset in July, Dunham is hitting .281 with nine homers and 21 RBI.

Next Up

The Patriots and Yard Goats continue their series all weekend long. On Sunday afternoon the Patriots will honor the New York Black Yankees of the Negro League's with a special Negro League-inspired uniform.
