It doesn't matter if you're seen as one of the most beautiful people. For actress Megan Fox, she revealed that she doesn't "ever" see herself the way people see her. The Jennifer's Body star told Sports Illustrated for her cover issue that she still struggles with her body image at 37 years old.

Fox said in a video that she has body dysmorphia, a mental health condition where a person spends a lot of time worrying about flaws in their appearance. "There's never a point in my life where I loved my body, never, ever," the Tennessee native said. When she was younger, Fox was obsessed with how she thought she should look. Though she was brought up as a Pentecostal Christian, the actress wondered why she had an awareness of her body at such a young age.

"The journey of loving myself is going to be never-ending, I think," the mother of three continued. Elsewhere in the interview, Fox wished people would notice her "rainbow aura" first because it's "special." Of the photo shoot, the actress hopes that people will take away that she is a "thoughtful, articulate, deep person." She added that she doesn't want to "always have to live as a misunderstood outcast."

Struggling With Body Dysmorphia

Fox first revealed she suffered from body dysmorphia and had "a lot of deep insecurities" in 2021. The Transformers star told British GQ Style at the time, "We may look at somebody and think, 'That person's so beautiful. Their life must be so easy.' They most likely don't feel that way about themselves." Though she didn't go into detail exactly which body dysmorphic disorder affects her, she has discussed other mental health issues in the past. After the release of 2009's Jennifer's Body, the actress said she nearly reached a "breaking point" because she found herself constantly being sexualized in films and media. "It wasn't just that movie, it was every day of my life, all the time, with every project I worked on and every producer I worked with."
