Is Little Caesars ‘Corncob Crust’ Teasing Pretzel Crust Pizza Comeback?

Little Caesars recently shared to its social media a new Corncob Crust. The new Little Caesars pizza crust is a cheese pizza that features a crust with corn on the cob, topped with corn kernels, and sprigs of cilantro. Served with a 2-liter bottle of liquified butter to drizzle on top. They even said that each cob comes with a pat of butter on the top.

The pizza chain described it as "the crust the world craves" when unveiling the Corncob crust. The fine print in the video reads, "Product Availability Dependent on Hypothetical Corn Supply Chain."

Fans are speculating that this is Little Caesars' way of teasing the return of the Pretzel Crust pizza. According to Chew Boom sources, the Pretzel Crust pizza will be making its way back to Little Caesars later this month, with nationwide availability in early April 2023.

The Pretzel Crust Pizza features a large, buttery-flavored soft pretzel crust that's topped with creamy cheddar cheese sauce, mozzarella and muenster cheeses and pepperoni.

The last time Little Caesars brought their fan-favorite Pretzel Crust back was in 2021 but only for a limited time. One of their longest Pretzel Crust hiatuses took place after its release in 2014. It was gone for a total of four years before returning to stores. Pretzel Crust lovers created petitions and fan clubs to pressure the company into bringing it back.

"When the pretzel pizza promotion ended in 2015, we were inundated on social media and with phone calls, emails, and even online petitions by pretzel-loving customers," said Ed Gleich, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing for Little Caesars in a 2019 news release.

After sharing videos on their Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook platforms, users began to comment in hopes that Little Caesars would reveal that the beloved Pretzel Crust is coming back.

"IF ITS NOT PRETZEL WE RIOT," said one commenter. "It’s funny I will give you that… but WHERES THE PRETZEL CRUST PIZZA????!!!!! My troops need this for pizza Fridays!" said a parody account for Emperor Palpatine from the Star Wars saga.

People shared that they want to try the Corncob Crust from Little Caesars. However, Pretzel Crust fans are hoping for its big comeback. The pizza chain has not confirmed its return.
