Ridings Makes First Appearance in 13 Months, Patriots Fall on Saturday

Bridgewater, New Jersey – The Somerset Patriots (82-53) were defeated 8-2 by the Portland Sea Dogs (75-62) at TD Bank Ballpark on Saturday night.
Somerset collected four hits on the night, including two by Jesus Bastidas.
The Patriots scored their only two runs on two sacrifice flies in each of the first two innings. Austin Wells and Tyler Hardman picked up the RBIs.
Patriots starter Will Warren was tagged for the loss, allowing six runs (four earned) in 5.1 innings of work, including three runs allowed in the first inning.
Stephen Ridings made a Major League rehab appearance for the Yankees in the game, pitching a scoreless seventh inning, while striking out two batters.
The 2022 Somerset Patriots season presented by Ford will continue as the Patriots host the Sea Dogs again on Sunday afternoon with a 1:05 p.m. first pitch at TD Bank Ballpark.
After the weekend, the Patriots and Sea Dogs will kick off their best of three playoff series beginning in Portland on Tuesday night.
