On last night's (January 17) episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the host discusses the snippet of Kanye West's new song that takes a dig at his estranged wife's boyfriend, Pete Davidson.

Speaking of Kanye's new name, Ye, Kimmel said during his opening monologue, “The artist formerly known as Kanye has a new song. Ye, which is what he goes by now -- it's his name now. Ye, which is a cheer, not a name." Kimmel made it known that he thinks the name change sounds more like something a cheerleader would scream during practice.

Kanye's song, "Eazy," appears to make a threat towards the Saturday Night Live star when he said: “God saved me from that crash, just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s a--.” Kimmel is definitely in on the joke as he comments just how random this whole one-sided beef is, “You know this reminds me of when Tupac wrote a diss track about Andy Samberg? Do you remember that?! Can you imagine, you're minding your own business, you're at home. Suddenly, Kanye attacks you? I mean, he has done that to me," the host joked. "But can you imagine?"

Kimmel wasn't done there; he went after Pete saying, “Ariana Grande wrote a song about him, now Kanye’s got a song. Pete is one Taylor Swift away from the heartbreak trifecta right now.”
