A lot of things have not gone the New York Knicks way so far this season. Future Hall of Famer Steph Curry breaking the NBA's three-pointers record against them, in front of a cheering Madison Square Garden crowd last night had to be another tough pill to swallow for the Knicks.
Maybe not all Knicks fans were happy to see that happen on their watch ...
Curry passed Hall of Famer Ray Allen seven and a half minutes into the game to become the new three-point king, knocking down his 2,974th three-pointer of his illustrious career. Curry was later joined by Allen and Hall of Famer (and Knicks tormentor) Reggie Miller for a postgame ceremony that including a a special jersey presentation with the number 2,974 written on the back.
The Warriors would go on to beat the Knicks 105-96. Curry finished with 22 points on 8-of-19 shooting, including 5-of-14 from beyond the arc. Julius Randle dropped 31 points to lead the Knicks in scoring. New York is in a major funk, having lost four in a row to drop to 12-16 on the season. The Knicks are now eight game behind the Nets for first in the Atlantic Division. The Knicks currently own last place in the division.
