A 7-0 run by the Nittnay Lions in the fourth quarter helped sink the Lady Scarlet Knights of Rutgers 52-48, as RU dropped its sixth straight. The back-and-forth affair between Big 10 rivals featured eight ties and 16 lead changes. Rutgers is now 4-7 on the season, and 0-2 in the Big 10.

Rutgers had four players in double-figures,  led by Tyia Singleton's 12 points and a season-high 11 from Sakima Walker. Osh Brown and Shug Dickson each added 10 points, while Brown got her second Rutgers double-double with 10 rebounds (NCAA active career leading 51st) and Dickson led in assists with five.

With 5:46 to go in the game, Rutgers had a 44-42 lead after Sakima Walker's free throw. However Penn State hit on consecutive three's by Makenna Marisa and Kelly Jekot to grab a 48-44 lead with 4:49 to go in the game. Penn State would never trail again.

Rutgers will try to snap its six-game losing streak on Sunday when they play host to Delaware State at 2 p.m.
