Whether you’re a new dog owner or your pup is now in its adulthood, making sure you have the essentials is really important. Things like replacing their collar, getting them a new dog bed or leash can sometimes fall off our radar. I grew up in an “I can fix that” family. So it took a while to break the habit of thinking my dog’s collar or leash didn’t need to be replaced. That’s why I wanted to put together this list. Pet beds are something I highly recommend for any pet owner that doesn’t want their pup on the couch. My dog Bailey has really bad hips and we used to let her sit on the couch with us. But the older she gets the harder it is for her to get up there and so we got her a pet bed. She loves it. Food Puzzle

If you’re not doing this regularly, I’m going to urge you to put this on your list of dog essential items you need immediately. Flea and tick prevention is so important for dogs. Not only will they thank you for helping make sure they stay healthy, but having fleas in your house is not fun. The process of removing and killing the fleas is long and grueling. So stop the spread now with some easy-to-apply medication.

When was the last time you bought your dog a new collar? I try to make sure my dog’s collar stays clean but like most dogs that just isn’t possible.
