Jets head coach Robert Saleh said all the right things on Friday afternoon regarding wide receiver Elijah Moore and his desire to seek a trade.

Saleh says he stands by the young wide out, but added he will not play this week and that the Jets are not trading him.

Denzel Mims will be activated in Moore’s absence.

Moore, who has only 16 receptions this season reportedly complained about his role in the Jets offense, and after a heated discussion with the Jets coaches on Thursday morning, took the rest of the day off as a personal day. It was then that word came out he was requesting a trade out of town.

  • Moore Addressed His Concerns Before

Video resurfaced Friday where Moore addressed his concerns with his lack of production a few weeks ago in which the second year wide-out said “I wouldn’t say disappointed. I know what’s important, it’s about winning.”

  • Denzel Mims Takes Over

Huge opportunity for Mims who has 490 yards receiving in two years with the Jets. The former second round pick out of Baylor has yet to score a touchdown. In camp he asked for a trade, didn’t get it, stayed focused and earned a spot on the practice squad. Now he’s back on the active roster.
