Jersey Begins Statewide Search for Best Chicken Wings Ahead of Super Bowl
The search is on!
NJ.com began its contest on Jan. 6 to find the state’s best wing joints as Super Bowl LIX approaches. From now through Jan. 26, wing lovers can suggest and vote for their favorite spots across New Jersey. This wing competition lines up with Super Bowl LIX at New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome on Feb. 9. Fox will show the game, with Kendrick Lamar performing at halftime.
The “Jersey Wing-Off 2025” starts with nominations running until Jan. 19. New Jersey locals need to set up a free account to share their picks through the website’s entry form. On Jan. 20, all nominated places will be revealed, and voting opens. People can support their favorites until Jan. 26, with winners announced the following day.
An expert food critic will sample each finalist’s wings. They’ll judge based on flavor, cost, creativity, and overall experience to rank the top 10 vote-winners. Once nominations close, voters have nine days to make their picks. That gives everyone time to try different wing spots before deciding on favorites. This contest shines a light on local wing places during their busiest season. The winners get to claim the title of New Jersey’s best wings.
With winners revealed two weeks before game day, fans can avoid the crowds and plan their Super Bowl orders from the top spots early.
