Colin Cowherd: “Aaron Rodgers is More Committed to Chess Match”
The Aaron Rodgers deal to New York gets more bizarre by the minute. Reports over the last 24 hours include the Jets and Packers remain stalled in talks, and haven’t spoken in weeks. Many believe it is centered around draft pick compensation.
Then, ESPN’s Mike Greenberg appeared on Rodgers favorite podcast, the Pat McAfee, to issue a theory that Rodgers has told the Jets not to rush in making a deal to force the Packers hand as draft day nears. The Jets hold the 13th overall pick in the first round, and two second rounders. It is believed New York would send two second rounders, (one in 2023 and 2024, with the pick in ’24 being a conditional first rounder), while Green Bay would send back a 2025 draft pick back as insurance should Rodgers retire after the 2023 season.
Here what Fox Sports’ Colin Cowherd says about the latest in this bizarre story.
