League of Legends Player Spica has been released from his team TSM after their defeat at the hands of EG in the NA Lower Bracket. This is major news for TSM as this means the team will restructure for the 2023 season with their fill-in AnDa perhaps taking his place.

Mingyi “Spica” Lu, has been on TSM for nearly 4 years with the majority of that time acting as the team's main Jungler. A very important role in the realm of professional League of Legends. However, this season has been a rough one for them as they placed 7th out of the 10 teams with a Win/Loss ratio of 6-12. They were making their way through the lower bracket of the LCS playoffs but were quickly stopped by Team Evil Geniuses, one of the best teams in the league, losing their series in the tiebreaker game. Game 5 The game that ended their season was an interesting one as there weren’t that many kills well into the game and EG has Three Dragons on TSM’s 1 at 27 minutes in. This would be a pivotal moment for Jungler as those objectives help win games. However, there is also a bit of Drama as Spica has called out EG's support branding him a cheater for pausing. Not sure if this is in jest or if Spica is actually mad, but Vulcan is certainly making fun of the situation.

Now the once Summer Split MVP has an open contract after TSM ended it early.  Spica made this public through his Twitter, but it seems like the 21-year-old Jungler isn’t calling it quits and is now searching for other teams in the LCS or otherwise that might pick him up. He has been an effective Jungler prior to leading TSM to actually win the LCS championship a few years prior. So whatever possessed TSM to terminate him we’ll have to see. As for their replacement, we’re not sure who will take up the role, but right now they do have player AnDa, however, having no real experience in a pro circuit it’s hard to imagine he’ll be moved from TSM’s training camp.

With the LCS final this weekend I am more than excited to see which team will be taking on the challenge of going to Worlds. Check out my weekly Esports Podcast Stay Connected to learn more about the growing world of Esports right here on FOX Sports Radio New Jersey.
