Amber Heard fired her PR team and switched to a new firm after jurors in the defamation trial between her and ex-husband Johnny Depp found she was diagnosed with two personality disorders.

Per DailyMail, the 36-year-old actress cut ties with her publicists ahead of this week's trial proceedings after Dr. Shannon Curry (a clinical and forensic psychologist testifying for Depp) revealed she had borderline personality disorder (BPD) and histrionic personality disorder (HPD). The two conditions are characterized by instability in relationships and being overly dramatic, manipulative and image-obsessed.

Taking the stand last Thursday (April 28), Dr. Curry told the court that Heard's BPD and instability were driven "by this underlying terror of abandonment." She also explained that people with BPD could resort to "very extreme behaviors" as they make desperate attempts to prevent abandonment. Heard is expected to take to the stand and testify this week and a source revealed her latest press coverage is frustrating her. "She doesn't like bad headlines," the source said.

As we earlier reported, Depp's fans have come to show support for the actor last week. A resurfaced petition calling for his ex-wife to be axed from the upcoming DC film Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom has reached over three million signatures as of Monday (May 2). Heard starred as Mera in the original film in 2018 alongside Jason Momoa and Nicole Kidman. Additionally, Heard apparently has less than ten minutes of screen time in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, due out next March. A report claimed that Heard’s Mera was almost not brought back for the upcoming sequel due to concerns over her chemistry with lead actor Jason Momoa.

The trial in the Virginia courthouse runs Monday to Thursday and is set to conclude on May 19.
