Book A Night In The ‘Home Alone’ Home on AirBnB: Traps Included
The iconic house from 1990’s Home Alone is ready to host some lucky guests for one night only!
In celebration of the upcoming release of Home Sweet Home Alone, Buzz McCallister (Devin Ratray) is hosting a super rare overnight stay at the family’s Chicago home, while the McCallisters are once again away for the holidays.
The famous home from the original movie is being converted into an Airbnb for one night only, and four lucky guests can relive their favorite moments from the Christmas classic for only $25 — if you’re lucky enough to get a booking.
The Airbnb description reads: “Though we’re older and wiser now (I’ve even got my own security firm), we’re never too old for holiday hijinks. So while we’re away on vacation (all of us, this time), I’m inviting one crew of mischief makers to let their inner eight-year-olds run free in my childhood home on Dec. 12. Booking for this one-night stay opens Dec. 7 at 1 p.m. C.T.”
The McCallister “castle” will be decked out with with twinkling lights and a perfectly trimmed tree — oh, and Buzz’s pet tarantula. Don’t worry about the Sticky Bandits, but have fun setting up the booby traps.
Of course, a night in the McCallister house wouldn’t be complete without splashing aftershave and screaming in the bathroom mirror. Pig out to all the ’90s junk food you can stomach, plus plenty of Chicago’s finest pizza and a candlelit dinner with microwavable Kraft macaroni and cheese.
Then, when you’re ready to wind down, you can enjoy a viewing of the film franchise’s newest holiday adventure, Home Sweet Home Alone, starring Jojo Rabbit‘s Archie Yates, Ellie Kemper, Rob Delaney, Kenan Thompson, Pete Holmes, Aisling Bea, Tim Simons, Devin Ratray, Ally Maki, and Chris Parnell. If LEGO is your thing, the Airbnb stay comes with a Home Alone kit to bring home. Folks trying to book have to follow Illinois’ strict COVID-19 guidelines.
‘Tis the season of giving, so in honor of the first-ever stay at the McCallister home, Airbnb will make a one-time donation to Chicago’s La Rabida Children’s Hospital, which is dedicated to maintaining and improving the quality of life for each of its patients with complex conditions, disabilities, and chronic illness.
