Popular YouTube Channel ‘The Game Theorists’ Takes on Its Final $1 Million Challenge
Last year in 2020 came a live stream like no other, from the well-known YouTube channel The Game Theorists, as they held their second annual Game Theory’s $1,000,000 Challenge for St. Jude. A ten-hour live stream hosted by Mathew and Stephanie Patrick with guests such as the popular YouTube personality Mr. Beast as well as gaming personality Markiplier and many more.
While the guests were a very exciting part of it. what was even more exciting, was the amount of money they were capable of raising which was over $3 million thanks to viewers, celebrities and businesses that tuned in for the live stream. An amazing amount that went to St. Jude Children’s Hospital to help fight cancer.
Well, the Game Theorists are back at it again for their third and final million-dollar for St. Jude challenge. Last month, they posted to their YouTube page information regarding the challenge and how they plan to make this event the biggest one yet; with more events, guests and chances to win prizes all while donating to St. Jude. Ever since they announced the event, the Game Theorists community has helped fundraise over $100,000, but they don’t plan on stopping there.
The Game Theorists made a post on their channel on November 16th reminding fans that the event will be taking place live on November 30th as well as opening their donation link. The current amount reached so far is $35,000. However, that’s not all the information we received. Matthew Patrick also going by the name MatPat, gave fans a teaser as to what guests will be appearing as well as what events will be happening for the ten-hour livestream. Fans can expect to see returning guests such as, Mr. Beast and Markiplier as well as new guests like the Dream SNP team who will be recreating the popular Netflix show Squid Games in Minecraft, as well as other well-known Minecraft YouTubers like Captain Sparklez, joining in.
MatPat also gave a teaser to cooking and art challenges as well as a large obstacle course. He plans to have celebrity appearances including Howie Mandel, who is a famous Canadian Comedian, as well as Record breaking Jeopardy Champion Matt Amodio.
Mr. Amodio currently holds the second most consecutive Jeopardy wins standing at 38 consecutive wins; taking the title from the previous holder James Holzhauer. Though those are just a few of the well-known entertainment personalities in attendance, we won’t see who is actually there until the live stream begins. But one thing is for sure, The Game Theorists as well as viewers are excited to go and help break the previous year’s record of over three million dollars raised for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital..
Over $100K raised toward our goal ALREADY. This unbelievable amount is from our community's own fundraisers. I'm so blown away.🥺
